PM Traffic Duty Needed/ NECESITAMOS servicio de tráfico PM!

Unfortunately, most of our PM traffic duty people have disappeared! This leads to much longer lines at pick-up. Principal Julie is now out there every day managing traffic. We desperately need at least TWO VOLUNTEERS out there each day. PLEASE think about coming and putting in just 15 minutes to help out. Go to the front office to volunteer.

For every 15 minutes you work, you get 1 hour of credit!

Remember, final hours are now due; this is a great way to pick up some last-minute hours and help keep our kids safe and make sure the traffic runs smoothly.

Orion Community Events Survey

We are sure you have noticed all of the amazing events our little Orion community puts on each year. As our community changes, so do the events. However, we’ve noticed a drop in attendance and in volunteers participating in many of these activities. Is it time for changes? In order to find out, we’d like for you to take a survey. You’ll find the survey in our closed Starship Orion Facebook group. You can also ask to be added to the group if you aren’t yet a member.

Lockdown Drill – 3/29

As part of our safety plan, we will practice our lockdown procedure with students on Thursday, March 29th. A school lockdown is implemented as protective action when an imminent threat is identified on or near our campus. During our 5-minute drill, teachers will lock all doors, close all blinds, and instruct students to listen to their directions to hide under or desk or other safe space and to remain quiet. When the all clear is given, students and teachers will resume regular classroom activities. If you have any questions, please let Principal Julie know!
