SUPERINTENDENT’S ADVISORY COUNCIL – WAYS TO STAY INFORMED
The Superintendent’s Advisory Council is made of parents and staff from each of our district’s 16 schools. Our parent representatives are Carol Anne Bauman and Shana Hackworth. Our staff representative is Teacher Stephanie.

This year, the charge of the council is to study the current challenges facing our district. Over the past five years, our district has seen a significant decrease in enrollment which is negatively impacting our district’s budget. The council will meet once a week during the fall to study the district’s challenges and to generate possible solutions.
The meetings are closed to the wider community. However, the following are ways for ALL parents to stay informed, share thoughts, and to ask questions:

- Attend Board Study Session of PROPOSED Solutions: Tuesday, October 16th (6:00PM)
- Attend a Community Input Meeting: Monday, October 22nd or Thursday, October 25th
- Attend Orion’s Next Coffee with the Principal: Friday, October 19th (8:15-9:15AM)
- Read District Emails
- Talk to Principal Julie: ANYTIME!!

Comité de Consejo del Superintendente – Maneras de estar informado
El Comité de Consejo del Superintendente está formado de padres de familia y personal de cada una de las 16 escuelas que forman el Distrito escolar.Nuestros representantes son Carol Anne Bauman and Shana Hackworth. Este año, la tarea de éste comité es estudiar las dificultades que enfrenta nuestro Distrito escolar. En los últimos 5 años, el registro de estudiantes se a disminuido considerablemente lo que ha impactado negativamente el presupuesto del distrito. El comité se reunirá una vez por semana durante el otoño para estudiar este problema y proponer soluciones al mismo.
Las juntas están cerradas al público en general, pero la siguiente información es para que todos podamos estar al tanto de lo que está pasando, compartir lo que opinamos y hacer preguntas sobre el tema:

- Asiste a nuestro cafecito con el superintendente en Orion: Lunes 24 de Septiembre (8:15-9:15AM)
- Asiste a la sesión de studio de la Junta Directiva donde se propondrán las soluciones: Martes 16 de Octubre 16th (6:00PM)
- Asiste a la junta comunitaria para dar tu opinion : Lunes 22 de Octubre o Jueves 25 de Octubre.
- Asiste al próximo cafecito con la Directora Julie en Orion: Viernes 19 de Octubre (8:15-9:15AM)
